Keith is one of those rare individuals that always knew what he wanted to do when he grew up. At 16, he started reading the Wall Street Journal. When he began his career in banking, he laid out his career path that by the time he was 35, he would be an investment professional. He realized that dream at 25. When he was 35, he had opened his own investment firm, Souza Financial Group.
Keith was born and raised in Danville, IL. He attended Danville Lutheran, Danville High and Danville Area Community College. He finished his bachelors degree at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. After working in banking for 8 years, he began his career in the investment industry. He began at Edward Jones, running two different offices. He accepted a position as Branch Manager for A.G. Edwards & Sons. Under his management, he grew the office to over $100 million dollars in assets. Leaving to start his own firm in April of 2006.
Keith is married to Jennifer and they have one son, named Truce. Keith and Jennifer became advocates for Autism Awareness after Truce was diagnosed in 2005. Keith is a avid fan of the Cleveland Indians & the Chicago Blackhawks. He enjoys writing, technology and traveling.
Keith serves as secretary of the Danville Rotary Club. He has served as President or Chairman of several local organizations including The Boys and Girls Club of Danville, Vermilion County Crimestoppers, & Keep Vermilion County Beautiful. He served one term as alderman for the City of Danville. During his term, he chaired the Finance Committee. He’s worked with several organizations including; YMCA, United Way of Danville, Vermilion County Animal Shelter, Festival of Trees, and the Danville Symphony Orchestra.
Travis then went on to purchase C. H. Smith Insurance Agency in 2014. With 24 years of experience in the insurance and financial industry, Travis enjoys meeting people and takes great pride in getting to know his clients on a one-on-one basis.
